Product Description:

The black plastic flower pot is the workhorse of greenhouse planting tools: made from PP material, black, usable for 3 years under normal usage, and designed so the root zone stays healthy. The scientific design and first quality material give it good permeability and ventilation, and black is the standard nursery color because it hides algae, warms the root ball earlier in spring and makes soil level easy to read. Eight sizes from BP90 to BP180 cover the crop from propagation to finished pot.
 

The Base Is the Design:

The second and third photos show why this pot works. Seen from inside, a star shaped centre carries a ring of drainage holes around it; seen from below, the base is slotted and sits on feet, so water leaves the root ball and air follows it in. On a bench this means the pot never sits in a puddle, and with the drip and ebb hardware from our drip and ebb irrigation section the whole bench drains as one unit. The same base suits growers rooting cuttings in hydroponic propagation systems before potting on.
