Drip Irrigation in Dry Regions:

The drip irrigation system is important and often necessary for desert areas, where it helps to save a great part of the water resource while still meeting the demand of the vegetables growing inside the greenhouse. It is cheap and easy to obtain, which is why the system has been adopted all around the world, and in a dry climate the saving is the whole point: water is delivered where the plant can use it instead of being spread across the surface and lost.

How the Water Reaches the Plants:

A main pipe is run along the row, and the lines branch off it through small connectors, each one carrying the water to the plant beside it. That layout is what makes the system easy to work with: the whole row is fed from one pipe, a tap valve on the manifold starts and stops it, and the emitters place the water at the root. Spacing the branches along the main pipe is the only adjustment that has to be made to match a different plant spacing, which is why the same kit is used for such a wide range of crops. The pipe and the fittings come together as part of the irrigation range.
