How the PC Board Greenhouse Is Built:

The frame is hot dip galvanized steel and the covering is held by aluminium alloy edging, a combination chosen to improve both the tightness of the house and its appearance. The roof windows run on a rack and pinion drive and can be opened at the same time as the side windows, so natural ventilation works across the whole house instead of in one corner of it.

The Polycarbonate Cover and Its Insulation:

On the roof and around the walls the house is covered with imported or domestic polycarbonate hollow sheet, or with a wave plate where that suits the bay. The hollow, multi-layer section of the sheet is what gives this house its thermal insulation: the air trapped between the layers slows heat loss, so the house holds its temperature better than a single film cover. Because the covering is also light and rigid, it gives a large glazed area with even light inside and a high rate of use of the floor.
